- 250 g frozen tater tots (≈9 oz)
- 4 large eggs
- 80 g shredded cheese (≈3 oz / 2/3 cup)
- 1 tbsp milk (optional)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: 1–2 tbsp chopped green onions, cooked meat (bacon, sausage, etc.)
Instructions:
1. Bake the tater tots
- Preheat fan oven to 200 °C (≈390 °F).
- Spread frozen tater tots in a single layer on a lined or lightly oiled sheet pan.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
2. Add eggs

- Push the tater tots slightly apart to create 4 small gaps (one per egg).
- Crack the eggs into the gaps.
- Drizzle with milk (if using) and season with salt & pepper.
3. Bake eggs
- Return pan to oven for 5–7 minutes (start checking at 5 minutes).
- Eggs are done when whites are set and yolks reach your preferred doneness.
4. Add cheese & optional meat
- Sprinkle 80 g cheese evenly over everything.
- Add optional cooked meat.
- Bake 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Tip: For extra crispiness, broil 30–60 seconds at the end, watching closely.
5. Serve
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve straight from the pan.
