Honey Mug Cake

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (or oil)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tbsp brown sugar or extra honey for added gooeyness

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix:
    • 2 tbsp honey
    • 2 tbsp milk
    • 1 tbsp melted butter
    • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (if using)
  2. Add dry ingredients:
    • 3 tbsp flour
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • Pinch of salt
    • Optional: 1 tbsp brown sugar for extra gooey texture
  3. Stir well until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  4. Microwave on high for 45–60 seconds
    (Microwaves vary – start with 45 seconds, then add 5-10 seconds if needed. The center should be slightly gooey.)
  5. Let sit for 1 minute to cool slightly.
    Drizzle with extra honey or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!

Tips:

  • For extra richness, add a teaspoon of cream cheese or peanut butter in the center before microwaving.
  • Use spelt or oat flour for a wholesome twist.
