
Serves 4 – 6
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of red lentils
- 4 cups water
- 2 red bell peppers, chopped and deseeded
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 – 2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (e.g. olive oil, rapeseed oil, vegetable oil)
Instructions:
- Rinse the lentils and put in a large pot with the water.
- Cook the pot of lentils on the stove on a high heat until the water starts to boil.
- Lower the heat and cook the lentils on a simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. The lentils should be soft.
- In a food processor, add the cooked lentils, red bell peppers, turmeric powder, chicken bouillon powder and oil.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve into bowls.
