Loaded Hoisin Pork Fries

Serves 6

Ingredients:

Fries

• 400 g frozen straight-cut fries (about 4 cups)

• ½ tsp soy sauce

• ½ tsp neutral oil (optional)

Pork Glaze

• 150 g cooked shredded pork (about 1 packed cup)

• 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (1 tbsp)

• 1½ tsp soy sauce

• 1 tsp water

• ½ tsp sugar or honey

• ¼ tsp garlic powder

• ¼ tsp smoked paprika

• Small pinch chilli flakes (optional)

Creamy Finish

• 80 g cheese & chive dip (about ⅓ cup)

• 1 tbsp milk or water

Fresh Toppings

• ¼ cucumber, finely diced (about ½ cup)

• 2 spring onions, sliced (about ¼ cup)


Instructions:

1️⃣ Bake the Fries

1. Preheat fan oven to 210°C.

2. Toss fries with soy sauce and optional oil.

3. Spread on a lined tray with space between them.

4. Bake 18–22 minutes, turning once, until golden and crisp.

2️⃣ Roast the Pork

1. Mix shredded pork with all glaze ingredients.

2. Spread loosely on a lined tray (or rack over a tray).

3. Roast 10–12 minutes until sticky with caramelised edges.

3️⃣ Combine

1. Pile fries onto a small oven tray or dish.

2. Scatter pork over.

3. Return to oven 3–4 minutes to heat through.

4️⃣ Finish

1. Microwave cheese & chive dip with milk/water 20 seconds until drizzle-able.

2. Spoon over fries.

3. Scatter cucumber and spring onions.

Serve immediately while crispy.
