Mango Drizzle

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups frozen mango chunks (about 225g)
  • ¾ tsp ground cayenne pepper (adjust to taste: ½ tsp = medium; 1 tsp = hot)
  • 1½ tbsp lime juice (or lemon juice)
  • 1½ tsp brown sugar (or honey/maple syrup — optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2–3 tbsp water (adjust for desired thickness)
  • Optional for extra depth:
  • ½ tsp fresh grated ginger (or ¼ tsp ground ginger)
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice

Instructions:

  1. Let frozen mango sit out for 10–15 minutes to soften slightly (or microwave for ~1 minute).
  2. Blend mango, cayenne, lime juice, sugar, salt, and any optional spices.
  3. Add water 1 tbsp at a time while blending until it reaches smooth drizzle consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust:
  • More lime for acidity
  • More sugar to balance spice
  • More cayenne if you like it fiery
